Janome HD1000BE Heavy Duty Mechanical Sewing Machine

I purchased this machine based on all the positive reviews but was cautious due to a few negative ones. I also purchased the extended warranty as well. All I can say is that I love this machine! I decided to get this machine because it claimed to go through multiple layers of fabric and came with a walking foot so I could use it on vinyls. So far I have not needed it and just used the zipper foot without any issues at even the slightest level of having anything shift, pull or stretch. I couldn't ask for anything better to use! I have 2 other machines that cost more than this one and this one outshines their capabilities including the one that was a heavy duty machine. I originally purchased this one on sale as a 'get by' machine until I could afford an industrial machine but so far this one is doing so good I may never need to buy an industrial machine. So happy with this one and glad I didn't listen to any of the negative reviews.

Wow! This sewing machine is incredible! It has just enough features and simple to operate and looks totally cool. I have wanted a Janome for a long time. I've had Singers, Brothers, White and a Bernina and this is by far the best. I love it.

Bought it for wife. excellent sewing machine, makes me want to pick up sewing. Works well with delicate to denim. Easy for beginners such as me and the grand kids, Excellent for experienced sewing such as my wife. Price and Sewing Machine is above expectations.

Ive been primarily using this machine to sew heavy weight canvas materials and its worked pretty good for most of it. Every once in a while its too thick and I have to push the needle through by hand, but I think Im pushing the limits of this machine as it is.If your doing heavy stuff like this, wear safety glasses imho. I had a needle break while sewing and it came like a rocket at my eye. Luckily I was wearing some glasses and it just deflected off. I didnt even have time to blink, and normally I have faster than cat reflexes even though I never drive faster than I can see.

I bought this to replace my 30 year old machine. It’s easy to use and looks great. Easy to thread needle. I love the black as it is really nice looking. Plastic scratches easily. The foot pedal is very light and is often a pain as it moves over the floor but no fix to that. I highly recommend.
