Main Features
Color-Coded Threading Guides
Threading the MO-654DE is a breeze with color-coded and clearly marked thread paths.

Easy Tension Adjustment
1-rotation thread tension dials with normal tensions highlighted for simple, consistent tension adjustment. Specially designed guides keep thread in place and ensure proper sewing tension at any speed.

Super Easy Looper Threading
The lower looper threader disengages for fast, easy looper threading, in seconds. Just slide the thread into the slot and snap the looper into place.

Multi-Function Presser Foot
The multipurpose presser foot, standard on the MO-654DE, allows you to create overlock stitches and add tape, elastic, ribbon, or sequins to your creations. Snap-on presser feet mean that you can easily change from the multi-purpose foot to one of the Juki Specialty feet and expand the creative potential of the MO-654DE.

Heavy Duty Knife System
The knife system on the MO-654DE operates with a dedicated drive to assure consistent and easy cutting for both light and heavy weight fabrics.

Surging Precision
The built-in seam guide takes the guesswork out of seam allowances. Just use the conveniently located gauge on the guard cover and serge away, creating accurate seam allowances as you go.

Bright Lights
Lighting on the MO-654DE provides optimum lighting to the fabric and needle areas.

Easy Cutting Width Adjustment
The lower knife cutting width easily and quickly adjusts with the turn of the dial allowing you to create perfect seams and rolled edges.

Differential Feed Adjustment
Keep things moving along evenly, or create fashion techniques, like lettuce edges, with the easy to use differential feed dial located on the exterior right hand side.

Easy Stitch Length Adjustments
Change the stitch length for specialty thread or overlock techniques using the conveniently located dial.

Excellent Customer Service.

My Juki machine arrived missing several important parts. Unfortunately I didn't open the box for quite a while because we were in the middle of a remodel and my sewing room was in shambles. By the time I opened the box, it was past the time to return it. I contacted Juki and offered to pay for the missing parts if I could order them. Instead they simply mailed me all of the missing parts. Wonderful customer service, so unusual these days.

I am in love

I just got this a couple days ago. I have never used a serger and was hugely intimidated, but this is not difficult. This machine is sturdy and powerful and looks like it will be able to do a lot of different things, especially if I get the extra feet for gathering, beading, blind hem (sold separately). But most importantly, as a beginner to the art of serging, I am not finding this difficult. Threading was easy to master, it came pre-threaded, I studied it and took pictures, knotted on my own spools in the colors matching the coding system and pulled them through to really see what was happening. YouTube videos helped with a couple tricky spots (as other comments have noted, don’t count on the manual to learn how to thread, the pictures aren’t very clear). But although I devoted a couple hours to reading the manual and learning my new machine, it was not hard. I also got a fabulous book called the sergers bible by Julia Hincks, this book was invaluable in explaining the serger in greater detail than the manual. It also has pages of photos on things like tension, if one thread or another looks one way or another, what you need to do with the tension dials to fix it. I honestly might not have been able to figure certain things out without this book, and I’m excited about the rest of the book where it gets into more creative uses and things you can do with your serger.
